About High Point Elementary
History of High Point Elementary
High Point Elementary, located on Venetian Way, was named for being on one of the highest points in Franklin County.
It was built in 1988 as the sixth elementary in the Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools.
An addition and renovation at High Point was completed in 2023. The work provided 10 new classroom spaces, expanded cafeteria seating, added restrooms and a new gymnasium. Also, there are now additional art and music spaces and increased parking.

At High Point Elementary we believe all children are important and we celebrate a school rich in diversity each day! We work hard to instill 21st-century learning strategies and a love for new knowledge in our children. Each child is valued as an active contributor and collaborator in their learning.
We ensure that the student will be successful and reach the best of his/her abilities, develop positive self-esteem and character, appreciate the differences of fellow students, demonstrate achievement in academic and social skills, and utilize technology to communicate and access information.
We enjoy a close communication with our families, students, and staff, striving to make High Point a child-centered school with a positive, progressive learning climate--where children and adults value learning together. Together we learn!
